  • Conduct thorough incident reviews to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.

  • Offer specialized guidance on managing and preventing musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries.

  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with slips, trips, and falls.

  • Provide expert guidance on managing mental health-related claims and promoting psychological safety in the workplace.

  • Develop, review, and implement policies and procedures related to disability management and workplace safety.

Workplace Violence Prevention

  • Perform comprehensive workplace violence risk assessments to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.

  • Lead and participate in serious incident reviews related to workplace violence, ensuring thorough investigation and learning.

  • Develop and implement effective management tools and strategies for preventing and addressing workplace violence.

  • Conduct and oversee investigations into incidents of workplace violence with sensitivity and professionalism.

  • Create and implement individualized safety plans for employees at risk.  Domestic, Patient/Visitor related, or staff

  • Define and deliver educational requirements and training programs on violence prevention for all levels of staff.

  • Promote and integrate psychological safety principles within violence prevention frameworks.

TASHN Toolkit Implementation and Application

  • Specialized expertise as the lead for the TASHN (Tool for Assessing and Responding to a Risk of Workplace Violence in Healthcare Settings) toolkit implementation and application.

Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC)

  • Develop, review, and implement IPAC policies and procedures tailored to clinical settings and addressing overarching safety concerns.

  • Manage and provide expert guidance on exposure incidents within healthcare environments, including but not limited to COVID-19, Influenza, Invasive Group A Streptococcus (iGAS), and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
